Have you always dreamed of exploring this amazing country we live in? By taking part in a 4-H Canada Club to Club Exchange, you can head to the other side of the country and take in all that Canada has to offer!
The 4-H Canada Club to Club Exchange program is open to groups of 10 4-H member delegates between the ages of 12 and 17, supported by two chaperones. Selected groups from Eastern Canada will be “twinned” with groups in Western Canada.
Three time periods for travel have been established and selected groups will choose, in consultation with their “twin” group, when each will host and travel. The length of the exchange can be shortened, but will not fall outside of these set dates. Until your group dates are confirmed in January, it is recommended that all groups applying not make other plans during these times:
• June 29 – July 8
• July 24 – August 2
• August 10 – August 19
Exchange participants will stay with their “twin” family and enjoy a unique experience spanning cultures, languages, and history.
By participating in a 4-H Canada Club to Club Exchange, you will:
• Enhance your knowledge and understanding of Canada;
• Connect and create linkages with 4-H members from another province
• Enhance your appreciation of the diversity and shared aspects of the Canadian experience.
If you are interested in being part of an exchange group, talk to your club leader to get a group together. If you are a volunteer leader who already has a group ready to apply for an exchange, visit http://exchange.4-h-canada.ca and get your application in today!
