FCC 4-H Club Fund hits $1M milestone with latest contribution to 4-H clubs

Dec. 12, 2022

Ottawa, Ontario – Dec. 12, 2022 – Farm Credit Canada’s 4-H Club Fund will provide a total of $100,000 to 200 4-H clubs, districts and regions in 2022.

This is the 10th year FCC 4-H Club Funds have supported local activities that empower youth to be responsible, caring and contributing leaders who drive positive change in their communities and around the world. With this most recent contribution, FCC has invested over $1 million in the 4-H Club Fund since the program was established in 2013.

“4-H Canada is extremely grateful for our longstanding partnership with FCC, and for its continued support of the 4-H Club Fund,” said Shannon Benner, 4-H Canada CEO. “The FCC 4-H Club Fund enables us to engage more youth at the grassroots level, making it possible for clubs and leaders to access resources and plan programming which delivers world-class positive youth development for members all across the country.”

FCC supports local 4-H club activities through the 4-H Club Fund, as well as national and provincial 4-H initiatives. The FCC 4-H Club Fund grants up to $500 per club, which can be used towards developing existing programs, covering the costs associated with local events and exchanges, supporting volunteers, or purchasing various resource materials.

“For generations, 4-H clubs have provided young people with a successful start in the agriculture industry,” said Todd Klink, executive vice-president and chief marketing officer at FCC. “The skills and knowledge built in Canada’s 4-H clubs last a lifetime and FCC is proud to support a program that has such a positive impact on so many lives.”
