4-H Canada Announces Newly Elected Chair, Vice-Chair, and Directors to its Board of Directors
Ottawa, ON, August 1, 2023 – 4-H Canada, the country's leading positive youth development organization, is proud to announce the election of a new Chair, Vice-Chair, and Director to its esteemed Board of Directors. These dedicated individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise to further strengthen 4-H Canada's mission of empowering youth to become responsible, caring, and contributing leaders.
David Hansen, Chair, 4-H Canada Board of Directors
A seasoned leader and passionate advocate for positive youth development, David Hansen has been re-elected to the Board of Directors for a second, three-year term, and as the new Chair of 4-H Canada's Board of Directors. Paired with his extensive background in the agriculture industry, David is well-positioned to guide the organization in its efforts to provide youth with the resources, and opportunities to become contributing members of their community, their country, and the world.
Robert Larsen, Vice-Chair, 4-H Canada Board of Directors
Joining David in a crucial leadership role is Robert Larsen, who has been elected as the Vice-Chair of the Board. A former, Youth Advisory Committee member, Robert has been actively involved with 4-H Canada for over a decade as remains active with the provincial organization in Prince Edward Island.
Amy McConchie, Director, 4-H Canada Board of Directors
4-H Canada is pleased to welcome Amy McConchie to the Board as a newly elected Director. Amy has been involved in 4-H for most of her life and had previously sat on our Board of Directors as a Youth Representative to the Board. Amy continues to be involved in 4-H as a leader, and brings to the board a fresh and modern perspective of 4-H Canada’s programming impact on youth.
Continuing in their roles as directors are: Danielle Chu, Valerie Stone Grech, Fawn Jackson, Shelley Jones, Tyler McCann, and Carlie Whetter.
