Kayla Emmerton
YAC Ontario Representative, Vice Chair of YAC, 4-H Canada Board of DirectorsKayla has proudly been a part of the Peel 4-H Club for 12 years. She is currently a student and actively involved with the Concurrent Education Student Association (CESA) at Queen's University. Kayla is the Director of her local agricultural society and Co-Chair of its Youth Volunteer Committee. In her spare time, Kayla loves to walk, go to concerts, curl, read and swim! Her two biggest bucket list items are seeing the northern lights and travelling to Africa.
Neleah Lavoie
YAC PEI Representative, Brand CommitteeNeleah has been a proud 4-H'er for 11 years with the Cavendish 4-H club in Prince Edward Island. Neleah is a three time 4-H Canada Science Fair winner and was the 2023 L.E.A.D. Science & Technology Scholarship Recipient. Neleah is currently studying Health Sciences at Queen’s University, where she is combining her two passions: science and leadership. In her spare time, Neleah enjoys running, playing soccer and travelling.
Emily Robb
YAC Manitoba Representative, Marketing and Communications Working GroupEmily is a Métis citizen who grew up in rural Southwestern Manitoba and is a proud 4-H'er of eight years. As an Agroecology student at the University of Manitoba, Emily holds holistic ideologies in agricultural education delivery and improving food system resiliency. Passionate about community engagement, Emily is a volunteer notetaker, teaching assistant, and the current U of M Future Leaders 4-H Club President on campus. In her free time, she enjoys practicing horticulture and spending time outdoors!
Kianna McGregor
YAC Alberta Representative, Conferences Working GroupKianna has been a proud 4-H'er with the Namao Trail Busters 4-H club since she was nine years old. Currently studying Education at Concordia University of Edmonton, Kianna aspires to continue her passion for empowering youth by becoming a high school social studies teacher. Prior to her involvement with YAC, Kianna was a Youth Service Leader through 4-H Canada's Hands To Larger Service Program. In her free time, Kianna enjoys playing ringette.
Lark Anderson
YAC British Columbia Representative, Marketing and Communications Working GroupLark is an International Studies Major at Simon Fraser University and has been a proud 4-H'er for eight years. Prior to her involvement with YAC, Lark continued to give back to 4-H as a 4-H BC Ambassador. When she’s not studying or volunteering, Lark enjoys crafting and spending quality time with her sheep Claudia Jean.
Rebecca Welden
YAC Representative, Quebec, Research and Development Working GroupA 4-H'er for seven years with the Lachute 4-H club in Quebec, Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and is currently pursuing her CPA designation. Prior to becoming a YAC representative, Rebecca was the president and Chair of Finance of 4-H Quebec. Outside of her involvement with 4-H, you can find Rebecca travelling and spending time outdoors!
Kate Coleman
YAC Representative, New Brunswick, Youth Safety Working GroupA 4-H member for eight years, Kate is a senior Primary Care Paramedic student who is passionate about community involvement and positive 4-H experiences. She continues to embrace our motto “Learn To Do By Doing” outside of her studies as she continues to pursue agriculture as a hobby, learning about both the beef and dairy industry and fine tuning her skills in showmanship and clipping/fitting. When she’s not studying or working on 4-H projects, you can find Kate spending time with her dog, Case!
Rebecca Fitzsimmons
YAC Saskatchewan Representative, Conferences Working GroupGrowing up on a mixed cattle and grain farm outside of Colonsay, Saskatchewan, Rebecca was a part of the Viscount 4-H Beef Club for 12 years within the Beef, Sewing, and Photography projects. Rebecca then went on to help develop the Next Steps club for 4-H members growing up and transferring out of high school. Outside of being an Ambassador and Northeast Advisory Council Member for 4-H Saskatchewan, Rebecca enjoys hiking, camping, helping out on her family farm, curling, and road tripping in her spare time.
Rob Bishop
YAC Representative, NewfoundlandRob has been an active member of the Zodiac 4-H Club in Riverhead, Newfoundland for over a decade. During this time, Rob has helped to organize many community projects, mainly working with seniors and youth to foster community engagement. Throughout 4-H, Rob has served as club executive for over five years, currently serving as Club President, and has participated in numerous conferences on both the provincial and national level. Rob has also won several provincial speaking awards and has a keen interest in community service and public engagement.
Katie MacNeil
YAC Representative, Nova ScotiaBeing a 4-H'er for 10 years with the St. Joseph’s 4-H club in Nova Scotia, Katie is a first-year representative of the Health Society at St. FX, where she is also a Research Assistant researching small farm issues. Katie is a former Regional 4-H Ambassador for 4-H Nova Scotia and is currently the President of her 4-H club. In her spare time, Katie enjoys both playing and coaching volleyball and basketball, and frequently volunteers with Special Olympics and L'Arche Antigonish.
