Ottawa, Ontario – Feb. 14, 2023  4-H Canada has recognized Shirley Barnable (Newfoundland and Labrador) as a lifetime Honourary Member for her contributions to the 4-H movement in Canada. The prestigious 4-H Canada Honourary Membership is bestowed upon individuals who have been dedicated and passionate contributors to the 4-H movement in Canada.

Ottawa, Ontario – Feb. 7, 2023 – Entrepreneur Ken Keis, Ph.D., has been named 4-H Canada’s Distinguished Alumni Award recipient for 2022.

This prestigious award is given to a former 4-H member who carries values instilled in them through the 4-H program to their everyday lives as contributing leaders in their communities.

$80,000 in scholarship awards over two years will help 4-H youth leaders advance important work and educational pursuits in agriculture and sustainability

Ottawa, Ontario – Dec. 12, 2022 – Farm Credit Canada’s 4-H Club Fund will provide a total of $100,000 to 200 4-H clubs, districts and regions in 2022.

This is the 10th year FCC 4-H Club Funds have supported local activities that empower youth to be responsible, caring and contributing leaders who drive positive change in their communities and around the world. With this most recent contribution, FCC has invested over $1 million in the 4-H Club Fund since the program was established in 2013.

Ottawa, Ontario – Nov. 23, 2022 Alain Blanchette of New Brunswick’s Irishtown 4-H Club has been named the 2022 4-H National Volunteer Leader of the Year.
