Ottawa, Ontario – January 15, 2019 – 4-H Canada is pleased to announce the induction of Kevin Charlebois, President, Chief Investment Officer and Director of Soundvest Capital Management Ltd. as an Honourary Member of 4-H Canada. Kevin has committed over 40 years to strengthening 4-H Canada as its trusted investment portfolio advisor.

Ottawa, Ontario – January 8, 2019 – 4-H Canada is pleased to recognize and honour Elaine Froese as its first 4-H Canada Distinguished Alumni Award recipient. The award recognizes outstanding accomplishments and leadership of 4-H alumni across Canada in the areas of Community Engagement & Communications, Science & Technology, Environment & Healthy Living or Sustainable Agriculture & Food Security. As the 2019 award recipient, Elaine is being recognized for her accomplishments in Community Engagement & Communications.

Ottawa, Ontario – January 4, 2019 – 4-H Canada is pleased to announce that Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, has accepted to become a patron of 4-H Canada.

“This is the first time in the history of 4-H that we have been granted a viceregal patronage,” said David Hovell, Chair of the 4-H Canada Board of Directors. “We are honoured that Her Excellency Julie Payette has generously agreed to serve as 4-H Canada’s Patron.”

Ottawa, Ontario – December 10, 2018 – 4-H Canada is proud to announce that the Farm Credit Canada (FCC) 4-H Club Fund has provided $114,250 to 233 clubs across Canada to support various activities and local events.

The Club Fund is part of FCC’s $250,000 annual commitment to 4-H Canada. In addition to supporting local 4-H club activities through the Club Fund, this contribution supports national as well as provincial 4-H initiatives.
