Ottawa, Ontario – February 28, 2019 – Following a successful first year of its Hands to Larger Service Program, 4-H Canada is pleased to announce the second cohort of Youth Service Leaders who will support the delivery of youth-led service projects across Canada in 2019. This exceptional group of 22 Youth Service Leaders will travel from coast to coast throughout the summer, working in partnership with youth taking part in 4-H Canada’s Club to Club Exchanges, planning and implementing service projects based on needs identified within their communities.

Ottawa, Ontario – February 7, 2019 – 4-H Canada is proud to announce the list of esteemed mentors for the 2018 Leadership Excellence Awards of Distinction (L.E.A.D.) recipients. Every year, 4-H Canada matches its L.E.A.D. recipients with a respected industry or community leader to mentor them as they navigate their post-secondary education and early career choices.

Ottawa, Ontario – January 29, 2019 – 4-H Canada continues to be a leading positive youth development organization in Canada thanks to its volunteers and as such is pleased to honour all 7,700 across Canada and 2018’s National Volunteer Leader of the Year recipient, Karen Chambers. This year these outstanding volunteer leaders will be celebrated at the 2019 4-H Canada Leadership Awards happening in Saskatoon on January 31, 2019.

Ottawa, Ontario – January 15, 2019 – 4-H Canada is pleased to announce the induction of Kevin Charlebois, President, Chief Investment Officer and Director of Soundvest Capital Management Ltd. as an Honourary Member of 4-H Canada. Kevin has committed over 40 years to strengthening 4-H Canada as its trusted investment portfolio advisor.

Ottawa, Ontario – January 8, 2019 – 4-H Canada is pleased to recognize and honour Elaine Froese as its first 4-H Canada Distinguished Alumni Award recipient. The award recognizes outstanding accomplishments and leadership of 4-H alumni across Canada in the areas of Community Engagement & Communications, Science & Technology, Environment & Healthy Living or Sustainable Agriculture & Food Security. As the 2019 award recipient, Elaine is being recognized for her accomplishments in Community Engagement & Communications.
