Ottawa, Ontario – November 7, 2019 – 4-H Canada is pleased to announce the 10 recipients of the new Saputo and Armstrong Cheese 4-H Dairy Club Fund.
4-H Canada launched a new club funding opportunity this fall for registered 4-H dairy clubs in Canada. This grassroots-level support offers the approximately 4,200 4-H members registered in cow and goat clubs the chance to participate in learning activities, while developing their confidence and knowledge relative to the dairy industry.
This opportunity is made possible through a partnership with Saputo Inc. and its Armstrong Cheese brand. The dairy company pledges to continue to promote best practices in the dairy industry by supporting the next generation of dairy leaders through 4-H Canada.
The following 10 clubs will each receive a $1,000 award towards supporting their 4-H members in reaching their full potential:
Green Acres Dairy 4-H Club - Lethbridge
Chatham-Kent 4-H Dairy Club – Ridgetown
Goldfield Calf Club – Finch
Lennox & Addington 4-H Goat Club – Napanee

“This new club funding highlights the importance of access to relevant learning opportunities in creating responsible, caring and contributing young leaders,” said 4-H Canada CEO Shannon Benner. “Together with Saputo and Armstrong Cheese, we work to advance positive youth development in Canada, by ensuring youth have the necessary tools to succeed in life-long learning.”
