After several years of low participation, we will not be hosting a national science fair this year. We remain committed to offering STEM opportunities to senior 4-H youth but are currently exploring how we might deliver programming that attracts more participation.

How Does the 4-H Canada Science Fair Work?
Either by yourself or with another 4-H’er, you’ll complete and submit your science project to be judged virtually in the hopes of moving on to our in-person second round, and ultimately to the Canada-Wide Science Fair!
SCIENCE FAIR
Round 1 – Virtual Judging
Here you'll develop and submit your project by the deadline (see key dates above). Your project will then be judged virtually in the following week(s) for consideration to move on to Round 2.
SCIENCE FAIR
Round 2 – In-Person Judging
Selected participants from Round 1 will receive arranged travel to attend the second round, hosted at a partner college or university in Canada. Four winning projects will then be selected to move forward to the Canada-Wide Science Fair!
SCIENCE FAIR
Round 3 – Canada-Wide Science Fair
The winners of the 4-H Canada Science Fair and their projects will then be entered into the Canada-Wide Science Fair. Here is where they will participate in unique hands-on STEM workshops and compete against the best and the brightest from across Canada for cash prizes and scholarship opportunities!
