Do You Have a Curiosity about the World around You?

The 4-H Canada Science Fair is an opportunity for youth to explore, experiment, and discover as they plan, research, complete, and submit a science project either independently or with a partner! Youth will be judged virtually in the hopes of moving to our in-person round and ultimately, the Canada-Wide Science Fair.

Science Fair Overview

Round 1 – Virtual Judging

Registration: Sept. 12, 2023 – Jan. 14, 2024 Virtual Judging: Jan. 17-24, 2024

Round 2 – In-Person Judging

March 2024

Round 3 – Canada-Wide Science Fair

Dates: May 25-June 1, 2024 Location: Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario

How Does the 4-H Canada Science Fair Work?

Either by yourself or with another 4-H’er, you’ll complete and submit your science project to be judged virtually in the hopes of moving on to our in-person second round, and ultimately to the Canada-Wide Science Fair!

SCIENCE FAIR

Round 1 – Virtual Judging

Here you'll develop and submit your project by the deadline (see key dates above). Your project will then be judged virtually in the following week(s) for consideration to move on to Round 2.

SCIENCE FAIR

Round 2 – In-Person Judging

Selected participants from Round 1 will receive arranged travel to attend the second round, hosted at a partner college or university in Canada. Four winning projects will then be selected to move forward to the Canada-Wide Science Fair!

SCIENCE FAIR

Round 3 – Canada-Wide Science Fair

The winners of the 4-H Canada Science Fair and their projects will then be entered into the Canada-Wide Science Fair. Here is where they will participate in unique hands-on STEM workshops and compete against the best and the brightest from across Canada for cash prizes and scholarship opportunities!
