Proud to Bee a 4-H’er introduces 4-H members to the vital role pollinator bees play in creating a healthy ecosystem and a sustainable food supply. This initiative explores SDG 15 – Life on Land and provides 4-H’ers with the opportunities to learn about Canada’s pollinator bees and support the creation of healthy ecosystems in their communities.

To date, we have provided over 150,000 pollinator seed packets to 4-H members and clubs across Canada.

Activity Book

The Activity Book has all the background information youth will need for exploring pollinators, healthy ecosystems, and a sustainable food supply in your own backyard. Included are instructions for exciting hands-on activities that you can complete with your club, 4-H friends, or family.

Activity Kit

The Activity Kit contains materials to support the Activity Book that facilitate learning on creating a pollinator friendly garden, either at home or as a club, as well as physical copies of the Activity Book.

Registration to receive an Activity Kit has closed and kits have shipped.

Check out the Activity Book above for more healthy ecosystem exploration fun!

*While the Activity Kit has materials for some of the activities, you can still use the Activity Book to explore pollinators at home.
