4-H Canada Announces 2020 Recipients of Leadership Excellence Awards of Distinction

Ottawa, ON – Oct. 27, 2020 – 4-H Canada is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2020 4-H Canada Leadership Excellence Awards of Distinction (L.E.A.D.).

The most prestigious and highly-sought scholarship offered by 4-H Canada, four outstanding 4-H members are selected as L.E.A.D. recipients each year in recognition of their personal development, community impact, and leadership excellence in relation to one of 4-H Canada’s four Leadership Development Pillars.

Each L.E.A.D. recipient receives a $20,000 scholarship toward their four-year post-secondary studies. In addition, a key component of the scholarship is the valuable opportunity to engage in an ongoing mentorship with an expert from within their field of study.

“What makes the L.E.A.D scholarship so unique is the mentorship component, which is an invaluable opportunity for youth to connect with their dream mentor as they pursue a bright career future,” said Shannon Benner, Chief Executive Officer of 4-H Canada. “The four recipients for 2020 have shown the resiliency, confidence and leadership that 4-H youth are so well known for. Together with the support and dedication of CN, we are proud to recognize these outstanding youth and look forward to following their educational and professional success.”

The 2020 4-H Canada L.E.A.D. recipients are:
