These initiatives provide youth with the chance to explore the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a set of 17 goals that encourage global citizens of all ages to help address critical issues like poverty, health, education, and the environment.

Initiatives are available on a variety of exciting topics, the pre-packaged activity kits are free of charge, and include the full curriculum and all materials needed to run the activities.

My Career, My Future offers 4-H Canada members and their clubs across the country the opportunity to learn about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth and how they can play a role in supporting full and productive employment and decent work for all. This resource is perfect for your senior 4-H members to discover their personal role in ensuring that everyone can benefit from entrepreneurship and innovation in their community, their country, and their world.

Food For Thought introduces youth to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2: Zero Hunger and helps them to discover their personal role in food security and food accessibility in their community, their country, and their world. Food For Thought is the perfect chance to encourage youth to gain an understanding of the impact food waste has on their community and what they can do to help.

The hands-on activities in this initiative encourage youth ages 8 to 16 to become soil champions in their own backyard. When it comes to mental health, it is important to know that different approaches work better for different people. Unbox Your Mind empowers youth to get to know themselves better while learning new ways to identify and manage stress.

With the Unbox Your Mind resources and activities, you can learn about mental health, either at home or as a club, with resources, tools, and hands-on activities.
