4-H in Canada’s Statement on Racism

As the world watches the events of the past week, we have been reminded once again of the terrible levels of racism, injustice, and inequality faced by the Black community in the United States, Canada, and around the world. We know now is a time to acknowledge, listen, and reflect.

Every day, our members stand to pledge their head, heart, hands, and health to affect positive change in the world around them. We stand with our 4-H members around the world against racism. We pledge to listen, educate ourselves better, and learn from the Black community, as well as other communities facing discrimination. We remain committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment where all youth can learn, engage, and speak up on important issues, including racism and prejudice.
